Pre-release Review of 'The Burglar' by Thomas Perry

Absolutely loved the detail that the author went into in describing how the incredibly adept lifetime burglar, Elle, accomplished her daring feats. Her character was badass, but compassionate, incredibly competent and amazingly insightful as we watch her case out houses and businesses as well as determine how closely she is being followed throughout the book. While unfortunate that it was her own upbringing that trained her in the art of burglary, she's clearly developed her own highly tuned methods for relieving people of their valuables. Elle never comes off as arrogant about her talents however. Rather, she recognizes her weaknesses and plans accordingly and researches thoroughly. Actual storyline aside, I loved this character and I sure hope we get to see her again!
